CHS Aligned Solutions is providing Selection Services to recruit for an Agronomy Branch Manager for a local, member cooperative southwestern Ohio.  This is a great opportunity to manage a strong facility, nice equipment and a solid existing team.

Geographic Location:
Located southeast of Dayton, Ohio about 45; the area is a prime production agriculture region.  The location is near many amenities of large cities but provides opportunity of a smaller, family-friendly community.
 
Position Overview:
The Agronomy Branch Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a full-service agronomy retail facility and will report directly to the senior leadership team’s VP of Operations.  This position will not be responsible for doing sales, rather running the operations and mentoring the sales team to uphold high levels of customer service and facility safety.  There are many advancement opportunities within the company for future professional growth and development.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities will include motivating team members, answering customer’s agronomy questions and managing logistics of the facility. 
  • Provide friendly, courteous and efficient customer service and create a professional environment for employees and customers with a goal of retaining and attracting new customers.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted as efficiently and safely as possible while meeting the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure that the proper products for retail sales are in place and appropriate margins and service charges are maintained.
  • Ensure that the agronomy facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent condition with a high regard for promoting safety procedures.
  • Work with the VP of Operations and agronomy team in developing a vision for the growth and profitability of the division.
  • Be able and willing to cross train employees to enhance skills sets so that employees have the necessary skills to help other divisions when needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry and strategic community partners.
 
Qualifications:
  • Ag-related degree and/or at least 5+ years related experience
  • Previous experience working within Ag-Retail is required
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical and have the ability to motivate a team
  • Ability to work long, varied hours and days as business dictates
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and pre-employment background test
