Sales Agronomist

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a progressive member cooperative in North Central, Montana to hire a Sales Agronomist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with superior service that will make the company the customer’s first choice.

Responsibilities:  
 
  • Promote the proper use of crop protection products, seed and precision agriculture to customers to grow market share.
  • Spend a majority of time in the country working with farmers to earn business.
  • Create and recommend specific agronomy programs based off of yield results, crop scouting and seed knowledge to customers.
  • Understand the business functions of employee team and assist the team in improving the efficiency and profitability of the locations assigned.
  • Coordinate with operations manager on spreading and delivery of bulk fertilizer to assure the cost effective use of equipment.
  • Assure that federal and state regulations pertaining to chemicals and fertilizers are observed and adhered to. 


Basic Qualifications: 
 
  • Degree in Agronomy, Ag Econ, Ag Business, Ag Ed, Ag engineering, Soil or Weed Science.  (Related job experience may substitute for education.)
  • 5 years of experience
  • Knowledgeable in the areas chemical and fertilizer application
  • Experience in seed, and crop protection products
  • Demonstrate strong communication / persuasive / business skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to form fast and strong business relationships
