Agronomy Manager

CHS Selection Services is collaborating with a progressive member cooperative in South Central, Nebraska to identify candidates for an Agronomy Manager to join their growing dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, sales and marketing, profitability, reporting, purchasing, resale pricing, inventory, service, maintenance, and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives for agronomy products and services.
  • Ensure location is working within their budget and P&L goals.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities as well as communication of sales programs, incentives and purchase options.
  • Be a team player within the whole organization.
  • Dispatch custom application equipment and tenders oversee maintenance of equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers, vendors, and distributors to sales staff, management and employees.
  • Oversee development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research, adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Ongoing communication with sales staff to monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent organization image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Train sales staff and other key positions on programs, pricing and overall strategy for the agronomy division.
  • Uphold high levels of customer service and safety.
  • Supervise and develop sales team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4 year degree in Agronomy, Ag Econ, Ag Business, Ag Ed, Ag engineering, soil or weed Science. (4 years related job experience may substitute for education)
  • 4 years industry experience
